Food for Thought

When it comes to disaster preparedness, it’s not like we don’t know what we need to do, which begs the question: Why aren’t we — and our governments, who presumably have more unfettered access to the opinions and predictions of experts — better prepared for disasters like Hurricanes Katrina and Sandy?
